Heather Knight: England Women’s captain undergoes hip surgery, out of India white-ball series
Heather Knight intends to resume playing before the end of the year following hip surgery, which stopped her from participating in the WBBL and the India series in September. Knight’s injury against South Africa prohibited him from participation in The Hundred and the Commonwealth Games. During a T20 international match against South Africa, the renowned all-rounder Knight, who had planned to heal quickly, sustained a hip injury and was forced to miss the following Commonwealth Games.

England and India play two three-match white-ball series in September. Nat Sciver replaced Knight as England’s captain at the Commonwealth Games. The hosts were eliminated by India in the semifinals and fell to New Zealand for the bronze medal. Knight was also supposed to lead London Spirit in The Hundred, but he hasn’t taken part this year.
